Item Description :

This is a 737 Short Kit. It consist of a very light (2 Lbs 6 oz with nacelles) fiberglass, carbon reinforced fuselage with integral Vertical and horizontal tail planes, plus a 17 piece CNC cut Extruded Dow Foam wing featuring leading edge slats and 2-part rear fowler flaps.

It is intended for advanced modelers and can be powered by Gas or Electric.

The kit is modeled around the Boeing 737-200 Variant with engine nacelles replicating the early Pratt JT8-D engines. Kit can double for the later 300 and 400 series by utilizing ducted fan or new miniature turbine power plants on the market which are larger and therefore nacelles of your own construction will have to be fabricated as the included early variants will not suffice. This is a Short Kit made up of a Carbon reinforced fiberglass Fuselage and a 17 pieces CNC cut Foam Wing.

CAD designed and cut with the help of CAM, computer aided manufacturing. It is recommended for the advanced modeler.

The Fuselage is 63" long, light and strong, it weighs 2-pounds 3-oz plus 6-oz for the nacelles. The Wingspan is 71” and will also fly well with a 2-stroke .61 in the nose. Retracts can be installed in the Wings and holes have been cut in the wing sections for the air system used to activate the Slats/Flaps.

Months of work at TdL Model Systems went into the programming of the 17 sections that make up the Wing.

Wing inboard and outboard flaps closely resemble, though not exact, 2/3rds of the complicated real triple slotted 737 flap system. This simplified approach is still challenging to the modeler and requires patience and skill to fabricate the tracks/actuation etc. No flap track covers are provided for the outboard flap system. Front leading edge slat is provided and ends at the engine nacelle. Inboard compound section at chord does not have a provision for the Krueger leading edge flap although one can be engineered. Wing is designed to be one piece which bolts to the bottom of the fuselage.
